Pre-Travel Rambles

So time is marching on and now Europe is so close I can almost taste it!

There are almost 10 days to go and I'm a little scared, very excited and oh so ready to leave! Feeling VERY under prepared; I thought you were supposed to prepare before travelling overseas but I've done very very little of the whole preparing thing AHHH well. I'll probably realise when I'm on the plane that I forgot my suitcase and it'll be a little awkward but that's for future me to worry about. Oh! I have travel insurance though which is a bit of a plus, so don't worry if I happen to be kidnapped in Eastern Europe, SCTI insurance will cover me for up to $250,000 ransom money but if they ask $251,000 I'll probably be a little screwed. Sadly I only get up to $10,000 hijack cash, but we all have to scrape through I suppose.

But in all seriousness I'm extremely excited now, I can't believe it's all so close. I've been perusing couchsurfing.org (have a look if you don't know what it is, it is très cool) looking for people to hang out with in Istanbul and, if I have the guts, to stay with, but I may just end up in a hostel somewhere which hopefully won't end up like the similarly named movie.

So this was a little bit of a useless, yarny sort of post but it pretty much sums up the excited-delirious ramble that'll be going through my mind for the next 10 days.
